Durabond Fire Cement is a finely ground putty-like material which is resistant to high temperatures. It sets rock-hard when exposed to heat or at room temperature, although the process takes longer the lower the temperature. Durabond Fire Cement will ensure both smoke and gas tight joints.

Uses
Durabond Fire Cement should be used wherever smoke, heat or fumes are escaping from solid fuel appliances, fireplaces, gas cookers, stoves and ranges, central heating systems and boilers. It can also be used to repair firebacks, for jointing internal flue pipes and on all structures subjected to gas and temperatures up to 1250ºC, well in excess of any domestic application. Durabond Fire Cement should not be used as a fireplace screed or render, nor for barbecues or other outside applications.

Application
Durabond Fire Cement should be used straight from the container. For maximum adhesion, remove all dirt, dust and rust, and make sure area is thoroghly clean.

Apply with a trowel, knife or hand and work well into the area. Fine joints can be made.
